How You Can Help
There are a number of ways in which you can support BEFSA and become involved in its activities.
One way of supporting BEFSA is by making a donation, either as a one-off payment or on a regular basis. To do this, simply click on the donate link at the top of any of the web pages. We thank you for your generosity.
Alternatively you can donate your time. BEFSA has been very fortunate to have a number of supporters who have taken the time to organise fundraising events for BEFSA. To read more about these events, please view our news page. You never know, it might inspire you to organise your own event. On another scale completely, you may be interested in becoming a BEFSA volunteer. In the past two years we have had a number of people who have chosen to give up a significant amount of their own time to visit South Africa to work in schools in South Africa. As a BEFSA volunteer you could be engaged in any number of activities including whole class, small group or one to one teaching, the production of teaching materials, painting and renovating classrooms and assisting with the school’s vegetable garden. Please contact Keith Borien, the BEFSA CEO if you are interested in working as a BEFSA volunteer.
Finally, as you may be aware, BEFSA has established a School Partnership Initiative. This has resulted in 38 schools in Oxfordshire Kent and Nottingham partnering schools in the Eastern and Western Cape. If you would like your school to have a South African partner, please visit our School Partnership Initiative page for more information. We thank you for all the help you give BEFSA and please contact us if we can help you to help us.
