FAHAMU - Fahamu is committed to serving the needs of organisations and social movements that aspire to progressive social change and which promote and protect human rights. MASAMBE - Masambe is a newly formed trust supporting women who wish to establish small/micro businesses in Nkonkobe Municipality. Masambe assists these new businesses by providing microcredit facilities, and this work is being supported by BEFSA. DONALD WOODS FOUNDATION - A close partnership exists with the Donald Woods Foundation. The Donald Woods Foundation’s focus is on a community of 27 schools in Hobeni, in the former Transkei area of the Eastern Cape. Its aims are similar to those of BEFSA but with a special focus on support for families affected by HIV/Aids. To find out more about the Donald Woods Foundation, visit www.donaldwoodsfoundation.org

OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL, SOUTH AFRICA ADVISORY GROUP - A close relationship exists with OCC as Keith Borien was the lead officer of the council’s SAAG from 1995 to 2004. During that time an informal but strong partnership was established with the Eastern Cape Department of Education. Keith and Catherine maintain close working relations with SAAG and try to attend their meetings on the annual visits to the UK.
